Embark on your journey from Delhi to Kalpa, passing through picturesque landscapes and winding mountain roads. Kalpa is a charming village surrounded by apple orchards and pine forests, with panoramic views of the Kinner Kailash peaks. This peaceful village will be your stop for the night.
Leave Kalpa behind and head towards Kaza, the largest town in Spiti Valley. The drive offers spectacular scenery, from high mountain passes to barren, moon-like landscapes. Kaza is a perfect base to explore the surrounding monasteries and villages. Arrive in Kaza and relax after a day of travel. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Today, you’ll visit Key Monastery, one of the most important monasteries in the Spiti region. Situated on a hill, the monastery offers stunning views of the Spiti River and the surrounding valley. Later, visit Kibber Village, one of the highest inhabited villages in the world. Explore the village and interact with locals to get a glimpse of their traditional way of life. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Losar, a small village at the entrance of Spiti. From here, begin your trek to Chandra Tal, one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The trek will take you through rugged landscapes and snow-capped peaks, culminating at the crescent-shaped Chandra Tal, known for its crystal-clear waters. Spend some time by the lake, soaking in the beauty of this natural wonder. Return to Kaza for the night.
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kalpa, retracing your route through the majestic Spiti Valley. The day will be filled with scenic views of the high-altitude passes and vast landscapes. Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Conclude your tour with a drive back to Delhi, bringing back memories of your adventure in the Himalayas and the pristine beauty of Chandra Tal and Spiti Valley.
