Your adventure begins with an early morning drive from Delhi to Manali, which takes about 12 to 14 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll check in to your hotel and have some free time to relax. If time permits, you can explore the local market in Manali and soak in the cool mountain breeze. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, start your day exploring the famous sights of Manali. You’ll visit the Hadimba Temple, a beautiful wooden structure surrounded by deodar forests, followed by a visit to Vashisht Hot Springs, a place for relaxation. You can also take a walk around Old Manali to experience the local culture, or visit Solang Valley for adventure sports like paragliding and zorbing. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, you will embark on a 5-hour drive to the serene Chandra Tal Lake, also known as the “Moon Lake.” Spend some time at this tranquil, high-altitude lake, taking in the surrounding beauty. After your time at the lake, you’ll head back to Manali by the evening for an overnight stay at your hotel.
After breakfast, you'll drive from Manali to Kasol, a journey of around 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, you can explore the charming town of Kasol, visiting Chalal Village and Manikaran Sahib, known for its hot springs. In the evening, you'll have time to explore the local markets before returning to your hotel for the night.
After breakfast, you will begin the long drive back to Delhi, which takes around 12 to 13 hours. You’ll arrive in Delhi by late evening, marking the end of your adventure.
The best time to visit Chandra Tal is from late June to mid-October when the roads are open and the weather is pleasant. The lake freezes over during winter and the roads are not accessible.
No trekking is required to reach Chandra Tal on this tour, as it is accessible by road during the open season. However, the last stretch to the lake requires a short walk from the parking area.
